My favorite part about this Westin was being able to lookout at the Eiffel Tower and the famous ferris wheel.

Location

The Vendôme area is located next to the Louvre and Tuileries Garden. The hotel is in the very southern area of Vendôme closest to the Louvre, keep walking north to reach the place de la Concorde.

Room

For a Parisian hotel this room was on the big size at 538 sq. ft. Since this is a Westin hotel, both double beds were Heavenly branded. The room number was 3039.

Desk space was ample, enough room for a laptop and plenty of papers.

Both US/EU outlets were present at the desk.

The only sitting area in the suite was right in front of the beds.

The placement of the TV was awkward.  You could not watch the television because the angle made viewing not enjoyable. Also it was extremely small so it was hard to see. For the rest of the stay it was kept off.

Here is a closer look at the minbar.

The restroom was small and only featured a single sink. There was no separate tub and the finishes were very bland.

Views

The selling point of this Westin has to be the views. It is very hard in Paris to a good view. From this suite looking left you can see the Louvre; to the right the Eiffel Tower and ferris wheel can be seen. Most suites at this hotel provide views. During the summer, I imagine the garden is beautiful.

Breakfast

Since this stay was before Marriott fully integrated with SPG I was able to take advantage of SPG Gold status and this hotel offered free breakfast for Gold members.  Now breakfast is only offered for Platinum elite and above in the new program. A few hot options were available, but it was decent breakfast selection.

Final thoughts

The room upgrade was very much appreciated because with the SPG Gold status suite upgrades were rare. However, with Marriott take over of SPG the gold elite status now offered by Marriott is not worth it. Also, the recent devaluation of points means I will move away from the program. For fans of Marriott the Westin Paris Vendôme can be a great value.
